Shop Account Verification setup
Email confirmation for WooCommerce customer accounts (Beta).
1. Install
- WooCommerce must be active
- Download skb-1.0.2.zip
- Upload via Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin
- Configure under WooCommerce → Account Verification
2. Recommended settings
- Require email verification – on
- Disable guest checkout – on (if only verified customers should shop)
- Block cart/checkout for unverified accounts – on
- Auto-login after confirmation – optional
3. Customer flow
- Customer registers on My Account
- Receives confirmation email
- Cannot log in until link is clicked
- Then can shop (optional auto-login)
4. Privacy note for shop operators
Add to your shop privacy policy: the plugin stores email addresses, confirmation tokens and optionally IP addresses for account verification. You are the data controller for your customers.
